The band will present its 6th Annual Holiday Concert on Saturday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Morning Star Fellowship in Bechtelsville. Admission is free. A freewill offering will be collected to be donated to a local charity.

The Boyertown Alumni Marching Unit is a family-oriented group of musicians and auxiliary personnel who have graduated from Boyertown Area Senior High School or live in the Boyertown Area School District and who want to continue to use the skills they learned in high school.

An all volunteer organization formed in 1976 for the nation’s Bicentennial Celebrations, the Unit performs several concerts each year and marches in local holiday parades. It has also  performed in Bristol, Rhode Island; Washington, D.C.; Florida’s Walt Disney World; Atlantic City, New Jersey, in four Miss American Pageant parades; and most recently in Boston, Massachusetts, in  two parades and a concert in front of historic Faneuil Hall. Plans are now being made for a trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, on July 4th, 2010, where the Unit will march in the nation's first July 4th Parade starting at 12:01 a.m.

Unit dues and Patron sponsorship allow the Unit to purchase music and equipment and provide an annual scholarship to a graduating Boyertown Area High School student.
